Services Provided The following services can be delivered via telemedicine:     •    Initial consultations     •    Follow-up appointments     •    Nutrition and lifestyle counseling     •    Lab test reviews and personalized treatment recommendations     •    Supplement guidance... Exclusions: Telemedicine is not suitable for emergencies or urgent care. Patients should call 911 or visit an emergency room for immediate medical attention. Technology Requirements Patients need the following to participate in telemedicine appointments:     •    A device with video and audio capabilities (smartphone, tablet, or computer)     •    A stable internet connection     •    A quiet, private space Platform: Telemedicine appointments are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. A link will be provided to patients before the appointment. Appointment Scheduling and Process     •    Booking: Appointments can be scheduled online or by phone.     •    Confirmation: Once scheduled, a confirmation email with appointment details and a video link will be sent, or the address of the consult. You will also receive the intake forms to be filled out and send at least 48 hours before the appointment.     •    Duration: Consultations typically last 30-60 minutes.     •    Time Zones: Appointments are booked based on the patient’s local time zone. Late Arrivals: If a patient is more than 15 minutes late, the appointment may be rescheduled. Payment and Billing     •    Fees: Consultations are billed at the same rate as in-person visits. Patients will be informed of the fees beforehand.     •    Payment: Payment is required at the time of booking.     •    Insurance: Functional medicine services may not be covered by insurance plans. Receipts for out-of-network reimbursement can be provided upon request. Cancellations and Rescheduling     •    Cancellation: Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance . * A more detailed policy and agreement will be sent before the 1st appt, with additional documentation.
